ABOUT US
Laurel Jones County Futbol Club exists to give children the chance to play soccer. What started as a local effort has become a community club serving hundreds of players each season. Families from across the region come together each fall and spring to compete, learn, and celebrate the game.
The club welcomes players from age three through the teenage years. With multiple fields and age divisions, LJCFC provides players with a place to start and continue developing as they grow. Every match, practice, and season is a chance to grow the game, the players, and our community.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
100% PARTICIPATION & FAIR PLAY
We believe every player deserves meaningful time on the field. That means each player on every team plays at least half of every game. Our goal is for participants to enjoy the game, build fitness, sharpen their skills, and understand what it means to be part of a team. We believe in playing with respect and integrity.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
We build skills through games and activities that fit each age group. Before U15, our focus isn’t on the scoreboard. It’s on what we believe is the “right way” to play. When players master the fundamentals and learn the game, they become stronger athletes for the future.

Rule Guide
U-5, U-6, and U-8 are non-competitive. Before a game begins the coaches can agree on terms to make the game run more smoothly. Let’s say instead of playing a U-5 or U-6 game four (4) quarters it would be better to play six (6) five-minute quarters with two minute breaks between quarters with a seven minute halftime, that would be acceptable. If you have two U-8 teams getting ready to play a game and one team only has 4 players, the coaches can get together and decide to just play 4 x 4. Also there should be no problem when a child is hurt or crying to sub one player for another during the quarter. At the end of the day, we want the kids to enjoy the experience of playing on a team.

AT WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START PLAYING? +
LJCFC welcomes players as young as 3 and offers divisions through U18. Players are placed in age-appropriate divisions to help them develop skills, teamwork, and confidence as they grow.

Yes. LJCFC relies on community volunteers to lead teams and teach the game to young players. Prior coaching experience is not required. We only ask that you commit your time and energy to creating a positive, supportive environment where players can learn the game, develop skills, and have fun.
